VACANCY: ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER – GS OFFICE

You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to elevate the organization to the highest international standards? CAF is looking to recruit an Administrative Manager – GS Office. 

Responsibilities: 

• Fulfil secretarial duties, such as: writing correspondences, coordinating tasks, taking minutes, and managing files, planning of the calendar of meetings and travels. 

• Prioritize and respond to all communications sent to the Office of the General Secretary in a timely manner, while ensuring that all relevant information is properly escalated, documented, and filed for future reference. 

• Create and maintain databases as needed. 

• Draft and finalize templates for various communications, in English and French, including but not limited to internal memos, external correspondences, and reports. 

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Office operates efficiently and effectively. 

• Work with the Head of GS Office to ensure that all communications with external stakeholders are handled professionally and in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.

• Create weekly activity reports and other daily reports as required. 

• Ensure follow-up with different divisions and independent functions to achieve timely completion of tasks and projects. 

• Assist the Head of GS Office with any additional tasks necessary to deliver the organization’s strategic and administrative objectives. 

• Assist with translations, as necessary. 

• Create communication templates, as necessary. 

Requirements (profile): 

• Master’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Literature, Law, or a related field. 

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the same field. 

• Previous administrative management experience, including but not limited to database management, drafting templates, policy development, and coordinating translation & editing projects, is a must. 

• Previous experience in drafting, formatting, and reviewing Legal & Communication documents in French and English, is required. 

• Fluent in both English & French spoken and written is a must. Command of Arabic is an advantage. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.

CAF Head of Safety and Security and BFA President Pay Courtesy Visit to Police Leadership

In a significant gesture of collaboration and partnership, Dr. Christian Emeruwa, the Head of Safety and Security for the Confederation of African Football (CAF), along with Botswana Football Association (BFA) President Mr. Tariq T. Babitseng and BFA Chief Operations Officer Mr. Kago Mosinyi, paid a courtesy visit to the Botswana Police Service. The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations, focusing on the integral role that the police play in ensuring the safety and security of all BFA competitions.

During the visit, the delegation met with integral pool of experts a  group of key police leaders, who are central to the successful execution of security operations at football events across the country. Among those present were prominent members of the Botswana Police Service, including Mr. Katlholo Mosimanegape, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and several senior officers.

These included Senior Assistant Commissioner Antony Wally (Director of Operations), Senior Assistant Commissioner Godfrey Phonchi (Commander, SSG), Senior Assistant Commissioner Boeletswe Gobotswang (Director, Departmental Services), Senior Assistant Commissioner Reginald Matlhaba (Divisional Commander, South Central), Senior Assistant Commissioner Mudongo Chitutu (Director, Crime Intelligence), and Assistant Commissioner Christopher B. Ndlovu (Deputy Director of Traffic).

The meeting was focused on discussing the coordination and support provided by the police in delivering effective safety and security measures during BFA matches, as well as future collaboration on upcoming projects. The visit highlighted the importance of this partnership in ensuring smooth and secure football matches for both players and spectators.

Both Dr. Emeruwa and Mr. Babitseng expressed their gratitude for the continued cooperation and commitment of the Botswana Police Service in safeguarding the integrity of football events and ensuring the safety of all involved.
