After an outstanding performance in the previous 2021/22 season, Gaborone United Sporting Club as the reigning Botswana Football League and Orange FA Cup Season 3 champions brace themselves for their opening TotalEnergies CAF Champions League match against AS VITA CLUB from Democratic Republic of Congo.

The first leg of the preliminary round will take center stage on Sunday (September 11, 2022) at the National Stadium, Gaborone at 1800hrs (CAT).

Maokaneng Bontshetse Appointed To Represent BFA On BFL Board

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Maokaneng Bontshetse, Vice President 1 of the BFA, to the Board of the Botswana Football League (BFL).

Mr. Bontshetse brings a wealth of experience and leadership in football governance, which will be crucial in advancing the development and promotion of football in Botswana.

In line with Article 17.5.5 of the Botswana Football League (BFL) Constitution, the BFA has nominated Mr. Bontshetse to represent the association on the BFL Board.

He will join an esteemed group of board members, including Independent Chairman Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, Sipho Showa, Tirelo Thebe, Thekegelo Nelson Gabofiwe, Goitsemodimo Tsietsano, and Tumelo Moreri Toteng.
